I am working with a client that are part of the one of the worlds leading groups within the power transmission and fluid power industry. Offering a wide range of services from repair and refurbishment to engineering support. They are now looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join their experienced team of engineers. As Technical Sales Engineer you will be working primarily with OEM customers throughout the UK, providing technical solutions to clients whilst driving sales results. This role is primarily office based initially but as your experience grows and skills develop you will visit clients’ sites and experience international travel visiting other sites of my clients for further professional development.
Technical Sales Engineer
Location – Warrington
£30,000 Basic Salary (DOE), 8% Company Bonus Scheme, 25 Days Holidays plus Bank Holidays increasing to 30days (1 additional day earner per year after 2 years full continuous service), Life Insurance, Pension and Medical Insurance.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Attend customers sites on occasions to support commissioning or aftersales service.
- Offer technical support to colleagues and clients throughout projects.
- Liaise within company group to source products.
- Interpret Technical specifications, drawings and Hydraulic Circuits to ensure products and solutions presented meet the required needs.
- Communicate with both clients and sales teams to establish needs of customers.
- Prepare proposals for projects.
- Review contracts of existing customers.
- Provide technical handovers to sales, productions and project teams at the start of new projects.
To apply you MUST have or hold:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree.
- Experience of working within a similar environment / position.
- Understanding of Hydraulic principles and product functions.
- Basic Electronic / hydraulic products knowledge.
- The ability to read and understand Engineering drawings.
- Comfortable with basic calculations (BODMAS).
- Good communication – Both verbally and written.
- Knowledge of power transmission including Gear boxes, winches, and electric motors.
- Able to understand Electric / Hydraulic Circuits.
- Strong willingness to learn.
