Looking for a role that offers you the freedom to be in a Home-Based role?
My client is looking for a Service Engineer to cover the South East area and very rarely Europe. This company is a Market leading Glue applications company that work in a wide range of Industries from Automotive to Food processing. This company is experiencing major growth at the moment with 80% of its work being installation work.
As a Service Engineer you will be expected to travel around to different sites around the SE of the UK and rarely in Europe to perform Breakdown cover, PPM and mainly installation of machinery into manufacturing sites. You will be given a Company van and all tools necessary, on top of this all fuel will be expensed with a Company Credit card. Van can be used for personal use outside of work, as long as the milage is kept to a reasonable figure.
The travel abroad will only be for big install work as right now they have 3 Installs outside of the UK and each install takes 1 week. Not a lot of European travel but a max of 6 weeks abroad should be considered.
Main responsibilities of Service Engineer:
- Travelling to site everyday (covering the SE)
- Performing Install, PPM and breakdown coverage
- Provide quality customer service to clients when visiting sites
- Complete training courses the company provide
- Open and able to go abroad to perform installations (notice will be given when install work comes up)
Experience looking for:
- Experience in a Manufacturing or Production Environment
- Performing similar tasks to the above on machines
- Experience as a Service Engineer is desirable but not a deal breaker (as long as you are willing and understand the travel involved)
- Mechanical and Electrical experience (3 years+)
This role is for someone who is looking to move into a new industry and be fully supported with all training. This company is looking for independent engineers as after training most work will be going from home to site.
