Engineering Team Leader
£40,000 - £45,000 plus OT

Our client is offering a salary reflecting experience with Overtime when required, 25 days holidays plus bank and 6% Private Pension.
My client is a world-renowned packaging company and is a leading provider of corrugated packaging within the UK and are seeking a Maintenance Engineer Team Leader
The engineering team leader will be hands and will be confident in managing a maintenance team of 2. The engineering team leader will be guiding the engineers with their schedules and providing guidance when necessary. The team leader will be involved with the installations, fault finding, breakdowns and general maintenance of packaging equipment when required, which includes Casemakers, Gluers, Colour Printers and Die Cutters.
Responsibilities include
- The engineering team leader will provide cover for the Engineering Manager and some engineering shifts cover as required.
- You will deal with health & Safety and continuous improvement project completion and Provide operations with a proactive, innovative, performance & reliable engineering service.
- Dealing with a great number of mechanical issues with machinery.
- Some electrical fault-finding works.
- You will effectively lead and service and repair the machinery equipment & assets. You will be required to work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic.
- You will work in tandem with the engineering manager and maintenance staff in regard to schedules.
- Commissioning of new machinery Breakdowns, service & installation.
Essential:
- 5 -10 + years’ experience in packaging or related industry.
- Experience of pneumatics and hydraulics as well as repairing and fixing other mechanical parts such as bearing, chains, conveyor lines etc.
- Come from a packaging, FMCG or other manufacturing background closely related to the previous two.
- Have experience of managing a team and provide quality guidance to maintenance staff.
- Must be a good communicator including: effective listening skills to all stakeholders.
- Strong mechanical background with some electrical experience.
- A related qualification in mechanical engineering or similar.
