Our client is offering a salary reflecting experience with vehicle, overtime which can see you earn up to 60k+.There’s 26 days holiday + bank, expenses covered, car, credit card, laptop, & phone and 5% employer contribution to pension.
My client is an internationally recognised packaging company who sell carton, machinery systems, strength packaging and more. They are seeking a Field Service Engineer to look after their packaging machinery throughout the North West and other parts of the UK and from time to time Ireland. This is a great opportunity for an engineer to put their own stamp on the company as well as working in a fast paced and growing environment.
Responsibilities include:
- The role requires on-site service and stay away visits from time to time to deal with installations servicing, RPM and breakdowns.
- Ideally you have experience in replacing and repairing motors, drives, relays, pumps, cylinders, invertors, pulleys and more.
- Having a good understanding of PLC’s especially Siemens S7, experience in modifications and fault finding would be key, but other areas including dealing with Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi would be considered.
- You will be able to modify and deal with intergrations of software.
- You will effectively lead and service and repair the machinery equipment & assets. You will be required to work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and computerized systems.
- Having single phase, three phase and an understanding of electrical & mechanical drawings would be advantageous
- Commissioning of new machinery Breakdowns, service & installation
- The company is big on customer service, experience with dealing with clients is key.
Essential:
- Strong customer service skills
- 2+ years’ experience in packaging or related industry
- Strong electrical background is essential.
- A related qualification in electrical engineering or similar
- City & Guilds or Level 3 experience is welcome
- Must be comfortable travelling to other areas when required.
- Must be looking to progress and ambition is key.
