Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

My client is an established manufacturer of specialised equipment, providing high quality products to various industries. They are extremely well known for the companies’ ability to offer the bespoke design and manufacturing solutions for products required by their clients. Due to an exciting period of growth, they are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Saint Leonards – on-sea
£35,000 - £50,000 DOE, 25 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays, pension scheme, private healthcare, bonus scheme and an early finish on a Friday (4.5 days a week work).

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Design and produce bespoke high quality products including cargo hook release mechanisms, lashings, and restraints.
• Establish the clients needs and requirements in a professional manner.
• Project management from initial conception to completion.
• Work closely with various departments internally and clients closely.
• Ensure completion of relevant paperwork.
• Produce 2D and 3D drawings based on clients’ requirements.

Experience and Skills required:

• Mechanical Engineering experience of 5 years.
• SolidWorks System experience.
• Educated to HNC/Degree level within engineering sector.
• Ambition to develop and progress knowledge.
• Understanding of designing mechanical products.
• Project Management experience.
• Able to produce 2D and 3D drawings.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
