My client is an established manufacturer of specialised equipment, providing high quality products to various industries. They are extremely well known for the companies’ ability to offer the bespoke design and manufacturing solutions for products required by their clients. Due to an exciting period of growth, they are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a company that challenge you to source sales opportunities by targeting, prospecting, and closing these opportunities both within the UK and overseas.
Business Development Manager
Saint Leonards – on-sea
£40,000 - £60,000 DOE, Company Car, 25 days holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays, pension scheme, private healthcare, bonus scheme and an early finish on a Friday (4.5 days a week work).Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Identifying business opportunities within new and existing markets.
- Building relationships with new clients and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
- Engaging with clients via phone, meetings, social media and emails.
- Working closely with various internal teams including sales, design and manufacturing.
- Preparing presentations for clients based on their needs.
- Taking tender opportunities.
- Pitching sales to new and existing clients.
- Working with Senior Managers to manage risk and grow profitability.
Experience and Skills required:
- Experience working within a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of engineering industry (Aerospace is advantageous).
- Direct Sales experience – 3 years
- Business Development Experience – 3 years
- Able to source new business using various methods.
- Have a proven record of closing new business.
- Experience in growing accounts where possible.
- Experienced working within a specific driven environment.
- Fluent in English.
- Full UK driving licence.
