Our client is offering a salary reflecting experience with vehicle, death in service, overtime at weekends which can see you £28.50 an hour or £57 an hour for bank holidays. There’s 26 days holiday+ bank, expenses covered, fuel card, credit card, bonus scheme, laptop, PDA & phone and 8% employer contribution to pension.
My client is a leading manufacturer of Palletisation Machinery on a multinational scale. They are seeking a Field Service Engineer to look after their packaging machinery through the midland’s areas. This is a great opportunity for an engineer to put their own stamp on the company as well as working in a fast paced and growing environment.
Responsibilities include:
- The role requires on-site service and stay away visits from time to time to deal with installations servicing, RPM and breakdowns.
- Ideally you have experience in replacing and repairing motors, drives, relays, pumps, cylinders, invertors, pulleys and more.
- You will effectively lead and service and repair the machinery equipment & assets. You will be required to work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and computerized systems.
- Having single phase, three phase and an understanding of electrical & mechanical drawings would be advantageous
- Commissioning of new machinery Breakdowns, service & installation
- The company is big on customer service, experience with dealing with clients is key.
Essential:
- Strong customer service skills
- 2+ years’ experience in packaging or related industry
- Strong mechanical or electrical background – Both backgrounds will be considered.
- A related qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar
- City & Guilds or Level 3 experience is welcome
- Must be comfortable travelling to other areas when required.
- Must be looking to progress and ambition is key.
Note – Stay away visits are rare but are expected from time to time.
Additionally, you do not have to be the finished article as training can be given on electrical or mechanical engineering including PLC’s.
