My client is a world-renowned packaging company and is a leading provider of corrugated packaging within the UK and are seeking a Maintenance Engineer from a mechanical background.
Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)
£35,000 - £40,316 plus OT
Norfolk
Saturday & Sunday (6pm – 6am) Also a day of your choosing (8 hours)
Salary reflects experience with Overtime which could earn you up to £45k -50k plus, 25 days holidays plus bank, EAP, career progression (Opportunity to go into management) recognition awards and Private Pension up to 6%
The Maintenance Engineer will be dealing with installs, fault finding, breakdowns and general maintenance of their packaging equipment, which includes a corrugator and may include: Gluers, Colour Printers and Die Cutters. This is a great opportunity for an engineer to put their own stamp on the company as well as working in a fast paced and growing environment.
Responsibilities include
- You will have experience in replacing and repairing motors, drives, relays, pumps, cylinders, invertors and more.
- You will effectively lead, service and repair the machinery equipment & assets.
- You will also be required to work on bearings, chains, bolts, pulleys, and other various mechanical parts.
- Have an understanding of single phase, three phase motors and an understanding of electrical or mechanical drawings would be advantageous
- An understanding of pneumatics or hydraulics as well as dealing with general faults on machinery.
- You will mainly be dealing with PPM issues as well as Breakdowns and installation
- You will work with the engineering manager on PPM schedules.
Essential:
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience of corrugated packaging machinery or similar is a major advantage, but other industries will be considered
- Must be comfortable with big machinery.
- Strong mechanical background with some electrical experience.
- A related qualification in mechanical engineering or similar
- City & Guilds experience is welcome
