My client is a Leading Manufacturer within the general line metal packaging industry with over 60 years within the market. They are expanding in their Liverpool site and looking to add new lines which is creating this opportunity for a Can Line Setter.
The Role
Responsible for the effective utilisation and co-ordination of the machinery under their control. This includes ensuring product Quality conforms to the Required Standards, equipment performs to production targets and always remains in safe working state.
- Line Setters will be trained to rotate through all the can making equipment
KPI / Measure:
- Complete risk assessments, forklift audits, guarding Audits
- Compliance to P.P.E.
- Production quality, Production targets
- Machine efficiency, Machine safety systems
- Correct disposal of hazardous waste, Spills
- Hazard risk assessments
Key Information:
Qualifications
Mandatory
- Experienced in setting high speed machinery.
- Sound written and oral English communication skills
- Work shift rosters as required.
Desirable
- Trade qualification in Engineering, Electrical or Automotive
- Sound mechanical aptitude and a high trouble shooting ability.
- Experience in metal or allied industry would be highly regarded
- Knowledge in OHS & E.
- First aid
- Fork lift licence
