Mechanical Fitter

My clients are a bespoke manufacturer of engineering solutions along with a leading supplier of hydraulic, pneumatic and electric equipment into various sectors within these industries

Due to growth and the rapid increase of product demand my client is now looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their engineering team within the onsite production department. The Mechanical Fitter will be tasked with undertaking assembly and functionality testing on in house manufactured products.

Mechanical Fitter

Location: Rotherham

£25,000 - £29,000 DOE, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, free on-site parking.

Working 37.5 hrs per week

Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Identifying problems during the building process.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Assembly and testing or bespoke mechanical systems.
• Document all work correctly on relevant job sheets.
• Always maintain a high standard of craftmanship.
• Carry out various tasks depending on the business requirements.

To apply you MUST have or hold:

• Be able to read engineering drawings and understand the instructions.
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter.
• Flexible working attitude.
• Strong mechanical understanding.
• Be able to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
• Electrical understanding is a benefit but not essential.
