They currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental manager to join the business, based out of the Cheshire design and manufacturing site.

The Role
As HSE Manager you will be responsible for compliance, developing, implementing and supporting your own departmental and company-wide projects. You will lead by example to set expectations and carry out audits to verify safety systems and procedures are in place. Review accident and incident trends and implement safety plans with improvement targets across your respective areas.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and deploy company strategy, delivering on agreed key performance indicators and objectives for the site.
- Work closely with all areas of the business to ensure compliance across all Health and Safety legal requirements and the implementation of best practice solutions.
- Builds strong internal relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- Ensures all colleagues remain safe through all aspects of the work.
- Ensure all processes and equipment comply with standards required.
- Be compliant and achieve certification to ISO 14001 & 45001
- Report at board level and below on accident stats, environmental incidents etc monthly.
- Ensure annual review of all risk assessments and ensure new risk assessments are carried out where necessary.
- Co-ordinate training programs related to HSE across the business
- Investigate workplace incidents, implementing preventative measures and best practice across all the business.
- Prepare and deliver monthly reports for the board.
- Ensure contractors have relevant HSE assessments.
Skills and Experience
- Hold NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent degree level qualification
- Proven leadership experience with experience in a similar, fast paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to manage systems, processes and people
- Strong risk identification and mitigation skills with the ability to use experience, analysis and judgement to implement preventative actions
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate at all levels of the business with a top-down, bottom-up mentality to HSE
