Service Engineer – Machine tool, Sheet Metal.
£30,000 - £42,000 + door to door – O/T paid at standard on weekdays, 1.5 x Saturday and 2x Sunday + hybrid company vehicle + mobile phone + laptop + iPad + Sick pay + Vitality healthcare + Pension 6% contribution + company credit card and unreceipted expenses
Expected earnings plus overtime estimated at an extra £10,000+
My client is a global leading manufacturer of automated CNC equipment for structural steel processing boasting an innovative and growing range of products that have allowed them to grow their market presence to an international scale.
They are now looking to add to their growing team of highly skilled service engineers to service their impressive client base. The Role:
- You will be responsible for performing installations, preventative maintenance, equipment health checks site surveys across their product range of steel processing CNC machinery.
- Investigate, diagnose, and repair any customer faults or breakdowns efficiently.
- Provide technical support as and when needed and operator training.
- Conducting the call-ahead to the customer prior to your arrival on site.
- Communicating with the office to report work completed and outstanding before leaving the customer’s site.
- You will also identify new equipment opportunities for instance, spares, service contracts and other opportunities.
- Highlight client recommendations and capture any material and labour requirements to enable a formal commercial proposal.
- Work in line with the health and safety requirements
- Liaise with the service administrator to plan any overnight stays and to receive your schedule.
Requirements:
- Experienced with the machine tools preferably within the sheet metal industry.
- Experience with Fanuc and Siemens controls is highly desirable.
- Engineers must be multi-skilled as the role has mechanical and electrical duties.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Valid Passport
- The right to work in the UK.
- Flexibility for overnight stays.
