Description

A brilliant opportunity has come up to work with a world-renowned corrugated packaging company that has 27 sites across Europe/UK and works in the E-commerce, Retail, FMCG, Industrial, Automotive markets. The company has been run for 3 generations of family and is a leading manufacturer for 50+ years. They are now seeking Quality Assurance Officer who can be the f4irst point of contact for all quality matters and deliver on BRC standards.

Quality Assurance Officer

Office based.

£30,000 - £35,000

Birmingham

Responsibilities


  • Investigate and report, on all quality-related issues raised by customers and internal colleagues, utilising Root Cause Analysis or other analytical methods.
  • Promoting good quality practices and hygiene standards
  • Oversee quality inspection rounds and manage product sampling issues.
  • Record and store production samples.
  • Conduct where appropriate, testing of materials and goods and the calibration and verification of equipment.
  • Assess raw material issues and manage supplier claims.
  • Conduct internal audits to BRC standards.
  • Conduct monthly hygiene & housekeeping and glass & brittle materials audits.
  • Conduct environmental discharge compliance testing.
  • Assist with traceability and withdrawal exercises.
  • Maintain quality department files and records.
  • Conduct training and develop the workforce ethos in regard to BRC Standards

Essential


  • Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Internal audit trained
  • Good computer skills including the use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Excellent attention to detail.
