Mechanical Fitter
Location: West Bromwich
£24,000 - £28,000 plus company van, fuel card, phone, laptop, overtime, company pension, employee assistance programme and 25 days holiday excluding statutory days
We are a leading wastewater treatment company who are well known for our excellent reputation and exceptional customer service.
Based in the Midlands we have been established for several years and are a medium sized company with further plans for growth.
Due to continued success, we are looking for an additional Mechanical Fitter to join their growing and professional team.
Summary of the role:
Carry out the build, refurbishment and maintenance of specialised equipment for the Water and Wastewater industry.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Build specialised equipment from details contained in general arrangement drawings and instructions as supplied by the Engineering Department
- Undertake facilities maintenance fitting as and when required
- Use your knowledge, skills and experience to support solutions to any Mechanical Engineering problems
- Assist other departments as needed
To apply you MUST have or hold:
- Previous Water & Wastewater Treatment would be a distinct advantage, other experience I medium to heavy industry engineering is essential
- Hold a valid Health & Safety Training Course (IOSH or equivalent)
- Experience and competency in crane operations and a variety of lifting equipment is required (refresher training will be given)
- Slinger/Signaler experience
- You will have experience of maintenance fitting in addition to fitter/assemblers role
- Welding experience would be a distinct advantage
- Hold a full UK driving licence
