They are a family-owned business, expert in design and manufacture of metal fabrication and electrical equipment.

Having their own factory in Somerset, they are perfectly positioned as a base for their knowledgeable sales force and delivery team supplying and supporting customers in the UK and globally.

My client is a founder member of the Highway Electrical Manufacturers & Suppliers Association (HEMSA) and an active member of the Highway Electrical Association (HEA). They are also a Premier Member and supporter of the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP).

What they are looking for:

They have a fantastic opportunity for a Design Electrical Engineer to join a friendly team in Somerset. This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

You will have the ability, experience and enthusiasm to design power distribution equipment, principally for street lighting and EV projects, providing technical support to Clients, their Sales and Production teams, as well as actual panel building if necessary.

Essentially, the successful candidate will have a recognised electrical qualification or relevant experience and aptitude for design using Auto Cad packages and working to ISO 9001. Ability to travel to site and knowledge of mechanical design engineering, would both be an advantage.
