Position: Sales Engineer

Location: North East

Industry: Coding & Marking – CIG, Laser, TTO

Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum,

Commission structure: £25,000 to £30,000. The annual sales target is £1 million.

Holidays: 25 days of annual leave.

Company Overview:

The company is global OEM of coding & marking machines for various industries, including Food, Pharma, Bakery, and Dairy. They are part of a larger packaging subsidiary that has a significant global presence, employing thousands of people worldwide.

Role:


  • Sales involve business-to-business transactions.
  • Label, print & apply solution based capital equipment sales
  • Generating leads for prospective clients.
  • Selling into food/packaging OEM’s/end users
  • Engaging in solution-based selling of capital equipment.
  • Managing a high workload and being target-driven.
  • A preference for a background in engineering.
  • Capable of negotiation during the sales process.
  • Suitable for individuals looking to transition into an external sales role.
  • A proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience with machinery sales is essential
  • A consultative selling approach with an understanding of the food industry.
  • The role involves selling bespoke capital equipment to blue-chip Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the food and pharma industries.
  • Experience & understanding of print & apply machines
  • Conducting technical consultative conversations with potential customers.
  • Managing key accounts and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • A preference for an engineering qualification, whether in electrical or mechanical fields.
  • Experience with any capital equipment sales is essential
  • Familiarity with Packaging machinery
  • Understanding of capital equipment sale with consumables
  • Hungry commission led individual
