Our client was founded in 1860 and has one of the largest packaging companies in the world. The company itself develops and produces flexible, paper, ready-made solution packaging and more. There is a great opportunity for a continuous improvement specialist to improve processes, quality, waste, and productivity.
Position: Continuous Improvement Specialist
Location: Ledbury
Salary: £34,000 - £42,000
Responsibilities:
- Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) projects across all areas of the site.
- Identify and implement best practices throughout the site.
- Coach and support CI project owners to ensure projects are completed on time and meet objectives.
- Ensure the sustainability of CI projects.
- Collaborate with shift managers in the print and finishing area to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Responsible for all CI activities at the site.
- Potential travel to another site to support CI activities when needed.
- Identify and define projects aligned with site and business unit priorities.
- Provide support and facilitate project selection.
- Drive the progress of improvement activities.
- Challenge the team to identify new opportunities.
- Coach CI project owners and sponsors.
- Facilitate CI events and Kaizen workshops.
- Conduct project reviews with owners and sponsors.
- Use appropriate CI methodology.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive nature (Required).
- Degree or HND level qualification in Engineering or Business (preferred).
- Manufacturing background is essential.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification is highly desirable.
- Leadership skills are highly desirable.
