Service Engineer

Position: Service Engineer

Location: Scotland Central Belt/Manchester

Salary: £38,000 to £42,000

• On-Target Earnings (OTE) expected to be £50,000 to £55,000

Company Details:

• The company is a leading packaging machinery manufacturer, specializing in filling, capping, bottling, labeling, and general packaging machinery.


• They operate nationally in the UK, with the main office located in the south.


• The company is a UK market leader in supplying filling lines to the chemical, toiletries, and pharmaceutical industries.

Role and Requirements:

• The role is home-based and UK-wide.


• Responsibilities include servicing, installing, performing breakdowns, and commissioning of capital equipment, particularly in the packaging machinery sector.


• Ability to stay away from home at least 3 nights per week is required.


• Service, repair, and refurbishment work at the company's existing clients.


• Proficiency in PLC programming, specifically Siemens and Allen Bradley systems.


• Ideal candidates should have experience working on packaging machinery, preferably in the filling and bottling sector.


• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential.


• Experience servicing process or packaging machinery would be advantageous.


• The ideal candidate should be an experienced electrical and/or electronic engineer.


• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and a strong mechanical understanding are important.


• Proficiency in fault-finding on PLCs.


• An electrical engineering qualification is required.
