Position – Water Hygiene Technician
Location – Burton-On-Trent
Salary/Package – £23,000 - £30,000, Van/Fuel Card, PPE & Tools, Mobile/Laptop, 25 days + Banks, Pension.
Client
My client is a leading environmental consultancy offering a range of asbestos and water hygiene management and consultancy services.
Water Hygiene Services include Water hygiene management and advice, Legionella risk assessment and control measures, Hot and cold-water monitoring and inspection, & Cleaning and disinfection services. My client also offer’s services in Installation, refurbishment, servicing, design and supply of plant and equipment.
The duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Completion of water hygiene monitoring tasks which will include, but not limited to the carrying out of temperature checks, dip-slide sampling, bacteriological samples and the inspection of cold-water storage tanks and hot water calorifiers.
- Dismantling, de-scaling, disinfection, reassemble and flushing of showerheads.
- Clean and disinfection of hot & cold-water systems including cold-water storage tanks, calorifiers, tank-fed hot & cold-water down services, pressurised/mains hot & cold-water services and thermal disinfections.
- Carry out, or assist with, remedial works to hot and cold-water systems including domestic, industrial and process systems.
- Operation of water treatment dosing equipment and chemical dosing of systems to specified levels.
- Remedial works such as dead leg removals, flexi hose removals, TMV servicing & install, pipe alterations and more.
- We are looking for a conscientious, reliable person capable of working on their own and as part of a team.
You must have or hold:
- A minimum of 12 months experience
- Able to be DBS cleared.
- Ideally you will have L8 or HSG274 knowledge.
- Full UK driving licence.
Travel will be regional to the Midlands primarily, but you will be flexible with travel as this position will see you covering nationwide on the rare occasion.
