Position: Parts Person/ Administrator
Location: Ipswich
Duration: Permanent
Salary: from £25,000 to £30,000 subject to experience level
We are recruiting for a full time Parts Administrator to join a busy team in the Ipswich area.
This person will be responsible for sourcing and ordering parts and materials as well as organising parts for engineers as well as assuring that parts are getting to site on time.
They will be managing a stores area which will including stock and tools. They will be expected to deal directly with suppliers in relation to getting material on time and to budget as well as assisting with getting items ready for large projects.
Part of the role will be managing the on site health and safety of the Stores area as well as general items within the office
They will also be responsible for the Administration part of the role which will include maintaining records to minimise waste and costs.
Requirements
- Strong Administration / IT Skills
- Experience in managing engineering stock.
- Ability to oversee materials to site and for engineers.
- Manage and record material waste.
- Must have good excel skills.
- Conduct regular checks for health and safety.
- Dealing with COSHH Data
- Able to deal directly with suppliers, clients and engineers via phone and email.
- Full UK driving licence is preferred.
- Experience in working within plumbing, heating, electrical or mechanical companies would be an advantage but not essential
- Good team player
