Our client was founded in 1860 and has one of the largest packaging companies in the world. The company itself develops and produces flexible, cartons, closures, pharmaceutical, food & Beverage and other various packaging. They are now seeking a Supply Chain Manager to take control of logistics, procurement, supply chain issues and operations within two separate factories.

£55,000 - £65,500

Responsibilities include:
- To take control of the operations of two sites to simplify processes and portfolios, to optimise inventory & all costs between the site and its internal/external business partners.
- Responsible for the coordination of the order flow steps that efficiently transform raw materials into delivered finished goods.
- Collaboration with Customer Services.
- Reducing leads times and dealing with the logistics of the warehouse.
- You will provide skills and leadership to ensure a high level of performance within the areas of demand including forecasting/planning, scheduling, master data management, inventory management, delivering and KPI setting.
- Be prepared to work in matrix type company and be prepared to work hard day in and day out.
- Have strong leadership skills and be able to manage staff, but you must also be able to take direction and coordinate with senior members of staff.
Essential:
- 5+ years experience in packaging or similar industries considered too.
- Someone with a supply chain/logistics related degree is preferred, but applicants without one can also apply.
- In depth knowledge and understanding of supply chain management, distribution methods, global transportation services and inventory
- Proven procurement skills
- Understanding of Supply Chain/ Asset Management
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems either SAP, Dynamics, or Excel
- Strong presentation skills
