Maintenance Electrician

An excellent opportunity has come up for an electrician to work for a world renowned billion-dollar food and protective packaging company. They require an electrician that is happy to be involved in a mixture of repairs, breakdowns, and PPM work on extrusion machinery.

2 days, 2 nights, 6 days off

Our client is offering a salary reflecting experience with Overtime which is paid at £250 for days and £290 for nights, private pension at 10%, permanent health insurance, plus extra incentives to earn.

Responsibilities include.

• Must be able to work autonomously and part of team to fix issues with extrusion lines.
• Complete proactive inspections, any required remedial repairs and act reactively to breakdowns to prevent the line going down.
• Must be able to read electrical diagrams/schematics. 
• Have experience replacing and repairing invertors, relays, AC & DC 3 phase motor Drives.
• Able to deal with any electrical circuits, wiring or re wiring.
• Be able to fault find on Allen Bradley PLC or similar.
• Understanding and dealing with the replacement of ethernet cables

Essential:

• Must be comfortable with big machinery.
• Experience of packaging, fmcg, industrial or another manufacturing industry.
• Must be able to understand electrical diagrams, deal with single phase and three phase motors.
• Have a good understanding of invertors, relays, and fault finding.
• Strong Electrical background with some mechanical knowledge.
• A HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or at least 17-18^th edition wiring regs.
• SCADA experience would be ideal, but not essential.
