My client is a UK based, home grown company that are involved within Hydraulic engineering across over 50 countries around the world. Due to such popularity within the hydraulic industry my client is working tirelessly to ensure they provide the very best services ranging from design to supplies inclusive of service maintenance to maintain their high standards they need Technicians. They are looking for a technician to join their team and work closely with new and existing clients on exciting projects.
Hydraulic Technician
Head Office Location: Middlesbrough
Competitive Salary (DOE) – 25 days holiday plus BH, Overtime, phone allowance, sick pay, death in service and pension scheme.
37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Trace Hydraulic Systems and produces sketches of basic circuits.
- Produce Technical reports.
- Carry out Hydraulic equipment assessments for repairs, modifications and replacements when needed.
- Attend site to carry out fault finding, repairs and maintenance of hydraulic equipment.
- Commissioning and maintenance/fault finding of open loop hydraulic systems.
- Disassemble, inspect and repair then produces reports of all work completed on Hydraulic Systems.
- Basic machining, drillings, cutting and grinding.
- Ensure the use of the company ERP system for all project activity.
- Carry out all work in a professional manner.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships ensuring the clients expectations are met at all times.
To apply you MUST have or hold:
- Experience working in an engineering workshop environment
- 3 years’ experience working within Hydraulics.
- Level 2 Technical Qualification – City & Guilds
- A desire to learn is key to this role
- Level 1 Hydraulics Qualification.
- Hydraulic design knowledge inclusive of parts, materials and equipment.
- Experience of working and leading a small team.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair systems and components.
- Liaise professionally with clients and colleagues of all levels.
- Be able to read and fully understand Hydraulic Systems.
- Perform engineering calculations.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
