My client is a UK based, home grown company that are involved within Hydraulic engineering across over 50 countries around the world. Due to such popularity within the hydraulic industry my client is working tirelessly to ensure they provide the very best services ranging from design to supplies inclusive of service maintenance, they are looking to maintain their high standards by hiring a Service Engineer. They are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join their team and to grow within their business long term, working closely with existing and new clients.

Head office Location: Middlesbrough
Competitive Salary (DOE)– 25 days holiday plus BH, Overtime, site work uplift in pay, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, death in service, sick pay, bonus scheme and pension scheme.a
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Produce test procedures from Hydraulic Circuits.
- Produce detailed technical reports on client systems and equipment.
- Trace Hydraulic Systems and sketch accurate circuits and part lists.
- Planning and mobilisation of equipment / materials and resources for sites.
- Assembly and testing the new equipment - hydraulic manifolds and Hydraulic Power Units.
- Lead site activities including pressure testing and flushing activities and producing relevant documents.
- Carry out safe FATs and SATs on site.
- Develop onsite solutions when possible working closely with the design team when larger issues occur.
- Provide technical support for new company bids when required.
- Support account management of Key Accounts.
- Assist with the training and development of others.
- Identifying upgrades and replacements required.
To apply you MUST have or hold:
- Full understanding of HSE.
- 7 years’ Hydraulic experience.
- Level 3 Technical Qualifications (BTEC or ONC)
- Level 2 Hydraulics Qualification.
- A desire to learn.
- Experience of working within a field service role.
- Hydraulic design knowledge inclusive of parts, materials and equipment.
- Be fully skilled in all aspects of Hydraulic Engineering Systems both on site and within a workshop environment.
- An awareness of marine systems including crane, winches and shore side support.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair systems and components.
- Experience leading on site teams including subcontractors.
- An understanding of open and closed loop hydraulic systems.
- Liaise professionally with clients and colleagues of all levels.
- Be able to read and fully understand Hydraulic Systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
