Job Title: Service Engineer
Location: North West
Salary: £30,000 + OTE £35,000-£40,000
Hours: 40 hours per week + 10 hours overtime
Benefits: Company vehicle, pension, healthcare, travel expenses, allowances, door-to-door travel paid
Company Overview:
Our client is a leading provider of packaging automation equipment, specializing in shrink-wrap and film machinery. They are the UK's number one agent for several leading packaging lines and have a team of 38 staff across the UK, including 6 other service engineers. The company has an annual turnover of £8 million.
Role Overview:
The Service Engineer role requires a multi-skilled individual with an electrical bias. Responsibilities include electrical wiring, working with 3 phase motors, mechanical understanding, PLC fault finding (Allen Bradley & Siemens), experience in FMCG production environments, commissioning new machinery, handling breakdowns, services, and installations. International travel is minimal, typically involving 2-3 nights away from home. Excellent customer service skills are essential for client interaction.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience with machinery of various types
- Electrical qualification
- Willingness to undertake a service role involving nights away
