About the Company:

Our client is a renowned systems integrator and market leader in providing bespoke weighing equipment solutions to the food and packaging industry. With projects of high value and complexity, they specialize in delivering tailor-made solutions to meet their clients' unique requirements.

Role Overview:

As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and design of capital equipment for the food and packaging industry. Utilizing your expertise in SolidWorks and Inventor, you will work on projects that are highly bespoke, requiring attention to detail and innovative solutions. Projects can vary in scale and complexity, often taking years to complete.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop capital equipment solutions.
  • Utilize SolidWorks and Inventor software to create detailed designs and engineering drawings.
  • Ensure designs meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Work closely with production teams to support the manufacturing process and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Design Engineer, preferably in the capital equipment industry.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Inventor software.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
