Material Handling – Design Engineer / Draughtsman
Doncaster
£35,000 - £45,000 – DOE
Discretionary bonus based on company performance.
25 days holidays + bank holidays

We are a global leader in the design & manufacturer of bespoke material handling solutions. With over 65 years combined experience in the Bulk Handling of powdered and granular materials, we are a well-established and highly regarded company in the industry. We now have the opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to join our team based in Doncaster.
The role:
In a typical day for the Design Engineer, you will be given a layout design by produced another one of the experienced engineers on the team and you will be expected to add detailed design for manufacturing. A more advanced Design Engineer will be able to do the layout themselves so will be given the initial customers’ requirements and design this based on the equipment required. Designs are produced using SolidWorks, you will be producing Engineering drawings and fabrications ready for manufacture and installation.
Skills / Experience
- Experience in Material Handling / Conveyor Systems / Bulk Material Processing is essential.
- Knowledge of material transfers, understanding the rules of moving product from one conveyor to another.
- Experience of SolidWorks and working in 3D & 2D environment
- Knowledge of conveying systems
- Concept layout design
- Detailed design
- Project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
- Reviewing project proposals & plans
- The right candidate will be “qualified” through experience.

In return
In return my client is paying a healthy basic salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience with an achievable bonus scheme. This is a great opportunity to join an established leading company.
