The role
We are a recognized supplier and manufacturer of a wide range of automated and manual packaging machinery. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and work in a globally growing business. The right candidate will have project management experience with a background in mechanical / electrical design.
We are looking for a Project Manager to assist our US partner in developing their range to company standards by ensuring that they are programmed and built correctly in the UK. You will be responsible for creating and setting standards of electrical systems for the company to follow and making sure the project is completed on time and signed off according to the specifications that have been set out.
As a Project Manager you will be making sure items are crated and painted properly as well as ensuring the company logos are on all products and have the correct labelling. You will also be responsible for making sure that the drawings are done correctly and will oversee getting final quotes on new systems.
Experience
- Experience in mechanical design and drafting
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in internal project management
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with SolidWorks
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with AutoCAD
- Minimum 2 years’ experience designing automated robotics
- Must have automation / electrical background
- Overseeing FAT and ensuring the function of the equipment meets the customers’ needs
- Live near RM group to work out of their facility each day
- Overseeing that the company electrical standards are correct
- Experience programming PLC / Robots is preferred but not essential
In return
My client is willing to pay up to £65,000 for the ideal candidate. You will receive a laptop, mobile, uniform, pension, and health insurance as well as all costs and expenses covered for travel to and from US.
