Job Advert: Service Engineer
Company: A global OEM of VFFS & HFFS bagging machinery
Role Overview: We are seeking a Service Engineer to join our team, specializing in service, installation, breakdown, and PPM of our capital equipment portfolio. The role covers the north of the UK, ideally based along the M62 corridor, but we are open to candidates with the right skill set.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, installation, and maintenance of VFFS & HFFS bagging machinery.
- Conducting breakdown support and preventive planned maintenance (PPM).
- Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams.
- Wiring and rewiring machinery.
- Understanding and working with PLCs, HMI inputs/outputs.
- Running Ethernet cables and changing I/O cards.
Requirements:
- Electrical bias (60/40 split).
- Ability to read electrical diagrams.
- Experience with wiring and rewiring.
- Knowledge of PLCs and HMI inputs/outputs.
- Capable of running Ethernet cables and changing I/O cards.
- Flexibility to stay away overnight and work weekends (all expenses covered).
Salary & Benefits:
- Annual salary: £38,000 - £42,000.
- Overtime opportunities, with potential earnings up to £60,000 per year.
- 25 days holiday.
