Account Manager (Galashiels)

Salary: £30,000-£40,000

Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Account Manager to join our team in Galashiels. This role involves face-to-face customer engagement, account management, and business development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for future progression into Branch Manager positions and will be provided with a company car, laptop, phone, and profit share bonus.

Responsibilities

• Conducting 7-8 face-to-face calls with customers daily, managing 120+ accounts, and ensuring regular contact based on individual customer needs
• Making 10 cold calls per week to develop new business opportunities
• Spending 5 days per week on the road, with occasional branch-based work to assist with tasks such as picking up samples or printing quotes
• Participating in a 2-stage interview process
• Utilizing sales skills to promote products within the electrical wholesaling industry
• Possessing a full UK driving license and previous demonstrable sales experience

Qualifications

• Lighting or electrical background preferred, but not essential
• Proven track record of successful sales experience
• Full UK driving license
• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize a large number of customer accounts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Day-to-day

• Engaging in face-to-face customer calls
