Position Overview
My client is seeking a qualified Electrician to join their dynamic team specializing in the design, installation, and testing of Building Management Systems (BMS). The ideal candidate will hold certifications in 2391/2 testing and the 18th Edition wiring regulations, as well as a valid Gold Card. The role primarily involves on-site work within a 2-hour travel radius of Leeds.
Key Responsibilities
- BMS Installation and Testing: Install and test Building Management Systems in accordance with 2391/2 certification standards.
- Compliance with 18th Edition: Ensure all electrical work complies with the 18th Edition wiring regulations.
- On-Site Work: Perform tasks on various sites, ensuring timely and high-quality installations and maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair electrical issues related to BMS in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of all installations, tests, and maintenance activities.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing their electrical needs related to BMS.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certifications:
- 2391/2 Inspection and Testing certification.
- 18th Edition wiring regulations certification.
- Gold Card: Possession of a valid Gold Card, indicating professional qualifications and competence.
- Experience: Demonstrable experience in electrical testing, installation, and maintenance, preferable if related to BMS.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Skilled in using testing equipment and hand tools.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
