Job Title: Field Service Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Location: Manchester to Birmingham (M6 – M1 corridor)

Salary: £45,000 - £47,000 per annum (OTE £60,000+ with bonus & overtime)

Company Overview:

Our client is a leading OEM specializing in high-speed robotic packaging machines for the Food, Process, Pharmaceutical, and Cosmetics industries. Their cutting-edge pick & place machines and end-of-line (EOL) packaging systems are known for efficiency and precision, making them a top choice in the industry.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installations, breakdowns, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), and service work across the UK and Ireland. This is a multi-skilled role where your primary focus will be on electrical systems, including servo drives and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform installations, maintenance, and repair work on robotic packaging machines and EOL packaging lines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure machinery operates at optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams for wiring and rewiring tasks.
  • Interrogate and work with PLCs to diagnose and solve electrical issues.
  • Focus on servo drives and control systems to ensure precision in machine operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support during field visits.

Requirements:


  • Electrical qualification is essential.
  • Experience in reading electrical diagrams, wiring, and rewiring.
  • Strong understanding and experience in interrogating PLCs.
  • Knowledge and experience with servo drives and control systems.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland.
  • Field service Experience on Industrial Capital Equipment
  • Ability to stay away from home
