Installation Technician - Gates and barriers
Location - M25
Salary £35,000 DOE
Overview
We are seeking a Service Technician with strong installation skills and experience in access control, turnstiles, and automatic doors. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in using power tools, have a good understanding of DC electrical circuits and components, and possess a Gate Safe certification. This role will involve site surveys, attending installation meetings, and working with heavy equipment. Security clearances (SC level) and a CSCS card are required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct installation and maintenance of portals, turnstiles, and access control systems
- Perform site surveys and attend installation meetings
- Utilize power tools and demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude
- Understand and work with DC electrical circuits and components
- Collaborate with team members to ensure successful project completion
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in installation and maintenance of access control, turnstiles, and automatic doors
- Security clearances (SC level) and CSCS card
- Gate Safe certification is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with power tools
- Understanding of DC electrical circuits and components
- Physical fitness to work with heavy equipment
Day-to-day
