Job title: Multi-skilled Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a Multiskilled Engineer who thrives on problem-solving and has a passion for continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. As a Multiskilled Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining our production lines and ensuring that our high-quality products are produced efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Complete planned maintenance inspections and condition reports in adherence to the site maintenance plan
- Optimize and adjust equipment during production to ensure seamless operations
- Set up new lines according to job specifications to produce top-quality products
- Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to engineering R&D projects
- Conduct fault-finding on various types of machinery and provide support to the department in health and safety matters
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to develop and implement ideas into production
- Plan and execute corrective and reactive work, minimizing production downtime
- Participate in new installations or refurbishments and contribute to the development of new ideas and processes
Qualifications
Electrical and mechanical engineering qualification
Proven experience in a similar process, production, or manufacturing environment
Proficiency in fitting and ability to understand engineering drawings
Experience working as part of an engineering team
Familiarity with working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters, along with fault-finding skills and logical problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of PLCs
Desirable: Knowledge of 3D design software and 3D printing
Day-to-day
The working hours for this role are 05:45 – 14:15 or 13:45 – 22:15, Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.
- 23 days of holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
