The Role:

To lead the operations team and oversee the smooth running of throughout various areas of the business including logistics, crewing and compliance.

You’ll be responsible for a team of 6+ consisting of administrators, event technicians and drivers whilst aiming to improve time & cost efficiency across the department.

Key duties include:

-          Leading the operations team managing rotas, holiday requests, disciplinaries and general line manager duties.

-          Oversee logistics, crewing and transport organisation.

-          Distribution of projects to relevant parties, delegating and allocating resources as required.

-          Support warehouse team by ensuring staffing levels are suitable to meet operational needs.

-          Management of staff expenses claims.

-          Act as a point of escalation for any issues that arise within the operations department.

-          Development of new procedures and processes to increase efficiency.

-          Ensure legal compliance for drivers and staff.

-          Management of discrepancies with PO and invoicing in relation to project costs.

-          Provide out of hours support where required.

-          Management of health and safety ensuring all staff and documentation are compliant with regulations.

Required skills and attributes:

-          Proven experience within an Operations Manager role – ideally within the events industry.

-          Strong leadership qualities.

-          Highly organised and able to communicate effectively across departments.

-          Full UK driving License.
