Mechanical Engineer

Position: Agricultural Engineer

Location: Macclesfield

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a strong background working with heavy commercial and industrial agricultural plant equipment.

We’re looking for a mechanical engineer with experience dealing with Straw bedders, Diet Feeders, Vertical Diet Feeders and Shredders.

The right person for this position will already have a strong working background as a mechanical engineer, holding a minimum of a level 2 mechanical engineering qualification. It is preferred if this mechanical engineer was holding a class 1 licence.

This is an engineering role, however there will be occasions in which you will be client facing as items may need to be repaired on a client’s site.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting maintenance and repairs on green waste machinery, including shredding and screening equipment
• Servicing equipment on clients sites
• Providing support to our 1000 agricultural accounts
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Plant Mechanic
• Proven track record of working with shredders and clean work.
• Class 1 Qualification (Preferably)
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
