Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing large plant and equipment, with a focus on hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical diagnosis. The majority of the work will be based at the yard and in the south east, with the flexibility to travel nationwide when required. Working on large infrastructure, National sites and projects.

Responsibilities

• Conducting maintenance and repairs on large plant and equipment
• Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems
• Diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
• Performing electrical diagnosis and repairs
• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with large plant and equipment
• Proficiency in hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical diagnosis
• Flexibility to travel nationwide when necessary

Day-to-day

• Conducting maintenance and repairs at the yard and in the south east
• Traveling nationwide for on-site maintenance and breakdown support
• Adhering to scheduled working hours of 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
• Participating in breakdown call out rota with additional compensation

Benefits

• Competitive pay of up to £20 per hour, including a company van
• Standby allowance of £250 per week
• Additional compensation for breakdown call outs and work on Sundays and bank holidays
