Commissioning Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Ideally near DE22 (Derby), but open to candidates across the UK
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + Bonus + Overtime (OTE £65,000 – £70,000)

The Company:

We are a well-established manufacturer of high-quality valves, pumps, and homogenisers used throughout the food processing industry. With a reputation for precision and innovation, we supply and support capital equipment solutions to customers across the UK.



The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer (Electrical Bias) who is confident working with both electrical and mechanical systems. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and servicing of capital equipment at customer sites throughout the UK. Some projects may require staying away from home for up to two weeks at a time.

This is a hands-on, field-based role where you’ll work with complex equipment including motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, servo drives, and inverters. You’ll also be carrying out panel wiring and diagnostics on 3-phase (415V) machinery.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Commission, install, and test capital equipment on customer sites
  • Troubleshoot and service electrical and mechanical systems
  • Conduct panel wiring, including 3-phase 415V setups
  • Work with motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, servo drives, and inverters
  • Provide on-site customer support during and after commissioning
  • Travel extensively throughout the UK – including extended stays away when required



Requirements:


  • Strong electrical background with ability to undertake mechanical tasks
  • Previous experience commissioning or installing industrial equipment
  • Comfortable with UK-wide travel and extended stays away from home
  • Experience working with 3-phase systems and control panels
  • Knowledge of servo drives, inverters, and automation systems
  • Full UK driving licence



Package & Benefits:


  • Basic Salary: £50,000 – £55,000
  • OTE: £65,000 – £70,000 (inc. overtime – door-to-door)
