Electrical Engineer
Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands | Hours: Mon–Fri, 8am–4:30pm | 40 hrs/week
Salary: £37,000 DOE | Start: ImmediateBenefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, paid sick scheme, life assurance, BHSF health plan, and stakeholder pension scheme.
I am seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a fantastic team, reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and develop maintenance and PPM systems.
Design, specify, and install electrical equipment for projects and upgrades.
Supervise a team of four electricians and oversee contractors.
Act as Technical Authority on electrical matters, including ATEX and BS60079 compliance.
Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across all electrical operations.
Liaise with internal teams and external bodies (e.g., HSE, EA).
Oversee training and development for electrical staff.
Requirements:
Minimum RQF Level 3 (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3) in Electrical discipline.
5+ years’ post-qualification experience, including 2+ years in supervision.
Experience in industrial manufacturing; CompEx (Ex01–06) desirable (can be gained on the job).
Flexible, hands-on approach to managing complex priorities.
