Key Account Manager - Wales (Industrial Lighting Projects)
A specialist in energy-efficient lighting solutions is seeking a Key Account Manager to support project-based sales activities across the Wales region. This role is focused on managing and developing relationships within the industrial lighting sector, providing bespoke LED solutions to a wide range of clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, project management capabilities, and a consultative sales approach to drive business growth and maintain service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and manage demand for the company's industrial LED lighting solutions among end users, developers, consultants, electrical contractors, and builders.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders by providing technical guidance and tailored lighting solutions based on specific project requirements.
- Act as the lead contact for a portfolio of allocated accounts, overseeing the full project lifecycle from initial enquiry and site survey through to lighting design, quotation, and post-installation support.
- Attend client sites as required to carry out lighting assessments, manage trial installations, and resolve technical or operational issues.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including design, technical, and operations to ensure the successful delivery of lighting projects.
- Comply with all internal quality management systems, including ISO procedures and company-wide health and safety policies.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in project-based sales within the industrial or commercial lighting sector.
- Strong understanding of lighting products, systems, and control technologies.
- Capable of managing complex projects from concept through to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and negotiate at all levels.
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with a proactive and adaptable approach to work.
- Willingness to travel as required across Wales and occasionally the wider UK.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Subject to DBS Barring check.
