Description

My client is a maintenance company, with over 30 years history within the garage equipment sector working closely with electro/mechanical equipment. Due to continued growth and work load they are looking to recruit Field Service Engineers to join their team to supply a wide range of services from installations to on site repairs.

Field Service Engineer – Routine Maintenance

Location: Cumbria (Kendal and surrounding aread)

£26,000 - £30,000 Salary, Depending on Experience. Company van, over time, door to door travel, tablet, phone, work wear and PPE and 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:


  • Visiting sites, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
  • Carry out routine maintenance checks as well as repairs on a wide range of garage equipment including vehicle lifts, brake testers, gas analysers and smoke testers.
  • Managing workload based on customers’ requirements.
  • Ensuring that potential parts needed to repair equipment are available in stock.
  • Conduct safety checks on machinery to determine if they are safe for worker to work on.
  • Improve the performance of the machinery or equipment.
  • Ensure control of own van stock to meet first fix standards.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Completion of required documentation.
  • Fully compliant to Health and Safety laws and regulations within the work place.

  • Hydraulic knowledge
  • Mechanically minded
  • Electrical understanding is a benefit
  • An understanding of garage equipment is a huge benefit
  • Hard working and committed to improving.
  • Working to high standards.
  • Confident when troubleshooting on site
  • Be prepared to work over time and the occasional over night stays away from home.
  • Have knowledge of the area covered and road network.
  • Able to work under your own initiative.
  • Full clean UK Drivers License
