Location: Bury St. Edmunds
Salary: £39,500 per annum

Are you an experienced Plant Fitter looking for your next opportunity with a reputable, growing company? We’re seeking a skilled individual to maintain, service, and repair a range of heavy plant and construction equipment. Based within easy reach of Bury St Edmunds, this is a stable, full-time position with a competitive salary and excellent working conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs to plant machinery (dumpers, excavators etc.)
- Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
- Fixing of small tools (generators, pumps etc.)
- Respond to breakdowns promptly, both on-site and in the workshop
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Repairs on the fleet of vans and trailers (if trained)
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Mechanical Engineer, or similar role
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
- NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Plant Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- A proactive, safety-first attitude
