We are seeking a proactive and experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative with a passion for environmental work to join our dedicated team maintaining reed bed treatment systems across various client sites in the UK and Ireland.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is physically fit, and is happy to travel extensively as part of a dynamic, field-based operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections of reed bed systems.

  • Monitor and maintain water flow systems and drainage channels.
  • Ensure reed beds remain functional, tidy and compliant with environmental standards.
  • Complete site reports and log maintenance activity.
  • Liaise with clients professionally and ensure a high standard of service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in grounds or environmental maintenance (preferably reed beds or similar wetland systems) – however full training will be provided
  • Comfortable working in rural, remote, and outdoor environments in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small mobile team.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential – company van provided).
  • CSCS card, Chainsaw, Strimmer, or Brush Cutter qualifications (desirable).
  • Basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Willingness to travel with overnight stays when required.

What We Offer:

  • Salary of 28,000
  • Fully equipped company vehicle and tools.
  • Paid travel and accommodation when working away.
  • Comprehensive training and development opportunities.
  • A supportive and friendly team environment.
  • Contribution to environmental conservation through sustainable maintenance practices.

Join us in maintaining and protecting vital natural treatment systems across the UK and Ireland. Your work will make a direct impact on environmental sustainability. Contact Becky Kerridge on 01254781300 or apply with your current CV.
