Job Title: Graduate Production/Process Engineer
Location: Lancaster
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 plus life assurance, private pension and 25 days holiday excluding statutory days.

We’re looking for a hands-on and driven Graduate Production/Process Engineer to join our engineering team at our Bentham facility. Whether you're a recent graduate or a technically qualified individual with a strong foundation in engineering, this role offers the chance to work on exciting projects that improve processes, boost sustainability, and enhance product quality.You'll support the full lifecycle of manufacturing and engineering projects — from design and testing through to production and process optimisation — while developing your skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist with the design, development, and optimisation of manufacturing processes, systems, and tooling.
- Participate in new product introductions and plant upgrade initiatives.
- Improve existing products and processes through lean manufacturing and value engineering principles.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support root cause analysis using tools like FMEA and data-driven analysis.
- Work with cross-functional teams including Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to deliver improvements.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation (SOPs, test procedures, BOMs, work instructions).
- Create and edit engineering drawings and models using SolidWorks (AutoCAD experience a plus).
- Contribute to cost reduction and sustainability efforts by evaluating alternative materials or methods.
- Provide technical support across the company, from production to customer services.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Engineering or relevant qualification.
- 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of manufacturing methods (injection moulding or extrusion is a bonus).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and in a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence
