Position – Plumbing and Heating Engineer
Location: Gloucester & surrounding areas (Stroud, Cheltenham, Newent)
Salary/Package - £37,000 - £40,000 (DOE) Van/Fuel Card, Mobile/Tablet, PPE/Tools, Bonus scheme paid every 6 months, & more
Purpose of the role
As a Plumbing and Heating Engineer you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing domestic and commercial plumbing and heating systems. You’ll work on gas, oil, and renewable systems (including air source heat pumps), and contribute to delivering high-quality, compliant services.
This position will be working for an established company that deal with commercial and domestic sites across the region which includes oil and heat pumps
The right person for this position will already have a strong working background in domestic plumbing in heating, it would be a major advantage if they also have some commercial experience.
It is essential that this person has experience with unvented systems as well as Oil and holding these certificates
We require this person to be a minimum of a level 3 qualified plumber with unvented, but we would prefer this engineer to hold domestic gas certificates
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair domestic and commercial boilers (gas, LPG, and oil)
- Diagnose and resolve faults in heating and plumbing systems
- Carry out routine servicing of boilers, cylinders, and heating appliances
- Install radiators, pipework, bathrooms, and sanitary ware
- Conduct power flushing and heating efficiency upgrades
- Install and service air source heat pumps and renewable systems
- Provide landlord Gas Safety Certificates (CP12)
- Maintain accurate job records and complete relevant compliance documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
You must have or hold
- NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing & Heating
- G3 Unvented Hot Water Certificate
- Full UK Licence
- OFTEC – Desirable
- Gas Safe Registered – Desirable
Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
