About the Company

This is your chance to join a family-founded business at the forefront of security and automation solutions in the Utilities sector. With a long-standing reputation for technical excellence, they’ve earned the trust of industry giants, delivering critical infrastructure projects across the UK.

Specialising in high-end, enterprise-level systems, their work spans electrical substations, CCTV, electric fencing, automated gates, and barrier systems – with a strong focus on Gallagher-based technology.

Operating with the agility of a small team and the backing of a national powerhouse, this is a company where your contribution genuinely matters – and your career can grow fast.

The Role: Security Commissioning Engineer

As a Security Commissioning Engineer, you’ll be the final piece of the puzzle – ensuring systems are fully operational, compliant, and ready for handover on complex, enterprise-level Utility projects across the UK.

This role isn’t just about turning systems on – it’s about ensuring performance, quality, and reliability on mission-critical sites. You’ll work closely with clients, troubleshoot complex systems, and represent the company with pride and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission and occasionally install CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems across major utility and infrastructure sites.
  • Configure and test systems with a focus on Gallagher, Galaxy, and Axis platforms.
  • Identify and resolve issues during the commissioning phase to ensure smooth handover.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to both internal teams and clients.
  • Build strong client relationships while ensuring project deadlines and quality standards are met.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience commissioning enterprise-level security systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems.
  • Familiarity with Gallagher and other top-tier systems is a strong advantage.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Confident communication and a customer-first mindset.

Why Join Us?

  • £40,000 – £45,000 salary (depending on experience)
  • Company van for personal use + fuel card
  • Paid travel time + generous working away allowance
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Ongoing training and clear career development pathways
  • Work on some of the UK’s most critical infrastructure projects
  • Join a tight-knit, respected team with a strong industry reputation
