HGV Mechanic
Colchester
£17 – £24 per hour
Monday to Friday | 50 hours per week. 28 days holiday INC bank holidays.
We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable HGV Mechanic to join our team based in Colchester. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive hourly rate and great benefits.
Role Overview:
As a key part of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the repair, servicing and diagnostics of a wide range of vehicles including HGVs, LCVs, vans, and cars. You will also be required to attend vehicle breakdowns as part of your duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, LCVs, cars and vans
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults
- Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections
- Attending roadside breakdowns when necessary
- Ensuring all work is completed to high standards and in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Have a qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
- At least 2+ years’ experience working in the repair and maintenance of HGV vehicles within the commercial vehicle industry
- Work well as Part of a small team
- Own transport to get to the vehicle workshop
- Ability to work under pressure
