We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Plant Fitter to join our dynamic team. You will work on a variety of equipment, including excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, loading shovels, skid steers (up to 8 tons), and attachments. - Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, loading shovels, skid steers, and attachments.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Perform inspections to identify potential faults and recommend preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work carried out.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of tasks and minimal downtime for equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience or training in plant machinery maintenance is desirable but not essential.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Full UK driving license is preferred.
Day-to-Day
- Work hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of plant machinery.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and any challenges encountered.
