Junior Sales Support Engineer
Location: Tunbridge Wells (office-based, with regular customer visits)

The Junior Sales Support Engineer supports the Sales Team by maintaining strong client relationships, assisting with quotations and tenders, and helping identify new business opportunities. This role ensures smooth sales operations, accurate record-keeping, and effective client communication, while developing both technical and commercial knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Client Interaction & Support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Communicate clearly and professionally to develop trust and long-term partnerships.
- Identify opportunities to have Total Control specified/nominated for new projects.
- Support Account Sales Managers in achieving invoice sales targets.
Quotation & Tender Support
- Prepare accurate, competitive, and technically sound quotations.
- Ensure tenders are submitted on time to meet client deadlines.
- Follow up on quotations to maximise business conversion.
Sales Process & Opportunity Management
- Proactively contact existing clients to generate new opportunities.
- Visit sites and client offices as required.
- Identify discrepancies in projects early and advise clients.
- Prioritise opportunities based on return-on-effort and strategic value.
- Collaborate with Account Sales Managers and Sales Directors on leads and introductions.
Technical & Commercial Acumen
- Understand client needs and align proposals with key buying motives.
- Maintain familiarity with pricing structures to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Assist in the smooth handover of new control system projects to the Contracts Support Department.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and files.
- Manage time effectively to maximise productivity.
- Follow internal systems and procedures to support sales efficiency.
- Keep documentation organised in line with company standards.
