Service Engineer – OEM Labelling Machinery
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Company Vehicle, Laptop, Phone, Annual Bonus, Health Scheme, 25 Days Holiday
Location: 50 mile radious of Banbury UK Wide (with some international travel)We are a well-established Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) supplying advanced labelling machinery into the blue-chip Food & FMCG sector. Our machines are integral to high-speed production lines for some of the biggest household brands in the world.
As part of our commitment to service excellence, we are now recruiting a time-served Service Engineer to join our growing field team. This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge automation equipment, deliver exceptional technical support, and represent a highly respected brand within the packaging machinery industry.
The Role
This is a field-based position covering customers across the UK, with occasional international travel. You’ll play a key part in supporting our installed base of equipment through:
- Installation & Commissioning – bringing new machinery online and ensuring smooth handover to customers.
- Breakdowns & Repairs – responding quickly and effectively to minimise downtime.
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) – scheduled servicing to maintain reliability.
- Technical Training & Support – delivering operator and engineering training on-site.
- Customer Relationship Management – acting as a trusted technical expert and company ambassador.
About You
We’re looking for a skilled engineer who enjoys solving problems and working directly with customers. You will need to bring:
- A time-served engineering background in service or maintenance of capital equipment, ideally within production/packaging machinery.
- A strong electrical skill set (with some mechanical understanding).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Competence working with single and 3-phase systems, sensors, actuators, and motors.
- Hands-on experience fault-finding with I/O, HMIs, and wiring.
- A flexible approach to travel – UK wide with some international assignments.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
